Global Senior Product Owner Road Logistics (m/f/d)

Your Role

As a Global Senior Product Owner, Road Logistics, you will have a high impact at Kühne + Nagel, by designing technology products and programs in partnership with our business leaders and then managing them across multiple stages of development and execution. You will focus on the development of our strategic ERP (large set of individual modules, surrounding application and incl TMS) for Road Logistics ranging from order-to-invoice. In this role your responsibility to take our recently established launched main operational system towards the largest of our operations and in parallel ensure highest user satisfaction while leading the transformation into the cloud.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead our new core operational system for Road Logistics, its assigned product owner organization, same as steer its development organization of approx. 60 specialists
• Lead the product vision and growth from idea over development through solid quality testing, release and continuous improvement
• Derive system functionality directly from customer, carrier or operational demands and design value driven procedures in line with our agile development teams and measure success against clearly defined criteria
  
  
• Keep the system up to speed along any stepchange of the industry and ensure state of the are technologies and trends (such as AI, sensor, voice, cloud) are leveraged to the max
• Demonstrating system functionality to external and internal stakeholders along the product life cycle and the integration complexity of a global technology landscape
• Manage external and internal senior stakeholders across multiple departments. Actively link the management, business, and service engineering teams and support in order to ensure maximum alignment.
• Raise the bar by analyzing, reviewing and implementing the best practices and learnings on the similar initiatives from the market.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Passion for new technology design in a pragmatic and value driven start up mentality
• Extensive experience managing complex technology programs and projects from planning through execution and stakeholder management
• Multiple years of experience in product ownership/leadership preferably within the environment of global logistics market leaders
• Large scale experience in agile way of working focusing on new technologies, systems, tools and features with a transparency, customer experience, speed and quality focus.
• Leadership experience in technology innovation programs and implementations
• MBA or equivalent management education in operations management/strategy, operations, logistics, mathematics, psychology, or a related field
