You would be part of the team organizing the UITP Summits 2025 and 2027 and work in close cooperation with the International Asscociation for Public Transport (UITP). The UITP Summit is the biggest international event representing all sustainable transport options.

For NMS New Mobility Solutions Hamburg GmbH we are looking for you as

Business Development Manager (w/m/d) - temporary until 30.06.2027

Your tasks:

• Develop and implement a Membership acquisition and retention strategy for Germany, the DACH region and European region and propose prospection actions for new acquisition of members within Germany and the European region.
• Strengthen the UITP database of contacts within Germany and the European region by attending numerous Mobility events and creating good relationships with potential members, members, and strategic members.
• Analyse the market structure, main actors, evolution, business development initiatives and provide progress reports on activities to target.
• Monitor members, market, and competitor activity, and identify new business opportunities in existing and new markets.
•  Elaborate the business development action plan considering the UITP’s development targets with regards to Germany and the European region, monitor it and report on the results.
• Mobilise the local actors involved in urban transport innovation, including research providers, incubators and start-ups.
• Support the UITP 2025 Summit Project Manager with matters related to the Host City.
• Support the UITP 2025 Summit Marketing and Exhibition Sales Teams to develop a strong and ambitious attendance commitment from the various mobility stakeholders located in Germany and the European region.

Your profile:

• Experience in membership development and in working with stakeholders.
• Project management skills and experience.
• Knowledge of and relevant experience in the public transport or urban mobility sector.

• Strong interpersonal skills such as collaboration, relationship building, negotiation and networking.
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
